Draft to Impress: Master Contract Drafting, Negotiation, and Dispute Resolution
We recently spoke to a senior partner in a law firm and asked her, “What skills do you wish law students were learning?”
We expected her to mention something complex like mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, or competition law. But her answer surprised us. She said:
“I wish someone could really teach contract law to people in the firm.”
Wait—contract law? Isn’t that taught in the second year of law school?
Like most law students, you’ve probably studied contracts in law school. You learned the sections, analysed cases, and sat for exams.
But here’s the problem: in most law schools, contract law is taught early, often reduced to memorising sections and quoting cases. This approach misses the deeper, exciting, and more complex layers of the subject. More importantly, it doesn’t equip you with the skills to draft exceptional contracts.
That’s where we come in.
In this course, we start with the parts of contract law you likely missed in law school—complex questions that are fun to explore and critical to master. Then, we bridge this understanding to the real world.
You’ll learn not to copy and paste from templates but to follow a process for crafting, editing, and refining contracts. Process ensures that you get it right—not just once or twice, but every time.
A watertight contract is a professional’s calling card. We’ll teach you how to make it yours.
