The course also delves into the legal rights and obligations of breeders, detailing the scope of protection and limitations under relevant laws such as the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001. Additionally, it addresses infringement issues, enforcement mechanisms, and remedies available to plant breeders. The course also highlights the significance of biological diversity and sustainable agricultural practices in plant variety protection.
