About this Course

Contract drafting is the process and art of creating a legal document that sets out the terms and conditions of an agreement between two or more parties. In the context of patent transfers or use by third parties, they are done in many forms like licensing, assignment, transfer of know-how, etc. While drafting a contract for patent transfer, it is important to identify the specific rights that are being licensed or transferred. This course offers you an indepth understanding of drafting patent-related contracts from a practice perspective. Through this course, legal experts will discuss with you some of the best practices for drafting IP contracts that comply with relevant laws and regulations and how to minimise the risk of legal disputes. You will also learn how to protect your client’s know-how when transferring it to third parties, while also ensuring that they retain their core rights.
