About this Course

The Navigating Arbitration Proceedings course provides an in-depth understanding of the critical stages and legal frameworks involved in managing arbitration cases. It covers key topics such as judicial intervention under Section 5 and the power of courts to refer parties to arbitration under Section 8. You’ll learn about the procedures for appointing arbitrators, handling challenges to arbitrator appointments, and applying interim measures under Sections 9 and 17. The course also explores the principles of Kompetenz-Kompetenz, where arbitral tribunals determine their own jurisdiction, and the flexible procedural rules that govern arbitration proceedings. Additionally, you will understand the significance of seat and venue in arbitration, along with the timeline requirements set by Section 29A to ensure timely resolution.
