About this Course

Corporate meetings are significant in the development and efficient management of an organisation. As we know, a company is a separate entity from that of its members and directors. Since it cannot act on its own, the directors and members who constitute it take important decisions on its behalf. At the same time, it must ensure that its stakeholders are provided with an opportunity to participate in discussions that impact the organisation. Meetings provide the members, directors, shareholders and other stakeholders opportunity to express their opinions and concerns with regard to the management of the company’s affairs. Strategic planning, policy decisions, and evaluation of stakeholders’ interests are some of the key issues that are taken up during the meetings. Corporate meetings, unlike regular business meetings, call for more structured and detailed compliance under the Companies Act, 2013.
